About the MegaPhone Platform
The MegaPhone Platform is our proprietary, patented, server software that is at the heart of what we do.
It’s the system that handles incoming phone commands and manages applications.
Essentially, we’re the unholy union of a phone company and a social gaming company.
MegaPhone Platform Features
Enterprise Level Telephony Management
The entire inbound phone call management process is handled by MegaPhone Labs. We secure the
phone numbers, the phone lines, accept the calls, and send the data back to the screen.
Client/Server Architecture for Massively Multiplayer Gaming
The core MegaPhone Labs routing platform is the result of over 8 years of real world development and
use in prior industry leading multiplayer applications.
MegaPhone Platform commands are processed and dispatched in under one fifth of a second, faster
than any existing IP or SMS based transport protocol.
Data Collection & Reporting
All interactions with the MegaPhone Platform are tracked, and can be accessed from a realtime
statistics dashboard. We report the total number, unique number, length, location, and time of all
interactions in aggregate, and for each caller.
Cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS)
All of the heavy lifting is done in our fully scalable, cloud-based data center, and no special hardware or
software is required at the screen location. Additionally, we provide 24x7x365 maintenance and
monitoring of all components of the system.
MegaPhone Platform applications can be developed for free using our open API and SDK for your
C++, OpenFrameworks, and anything else that speaks XML. Our Flash SDK is our flagship front end
toolkit, and is built and documented by our Front End Platform Architect, Colin Moock. Colin is the
author of O’Reilly’s Essential ActionScript v2 and v3, and is the Adobe spokesperson for ActionScript3.
